Pezoules of Oia is a magnificent boutique hotel in Oia, Santorini. Sitting on the cliffside, Pezoules offers views of the famous Caldera from all perspectives. We had the pleasure of staying here white visiting Santorini and have nothing but good things to say about our stay. Therefore, I wanted to share our experiences with a detailed Pezoules of Oia review.
What initially caught our eye when researching hotels in the area was the number of amenities you get for the price. We had been looking for a hotel in Oia with a pool and were glad to find a place that offered that, plus much more. Not to mention, the picture perfect views of the Agean Sea.
We will always remember our stay here, from the amenities to the people, which is why I am excited to share this review with you! If you are looking for a place to stay in Oia, I hope this guide will help make your decision on where to stay much easier.

Check-in and Arrival
Before our stay, the hotel contacted us regarding our arrival time. We used their transfer service and were met at the airport by a staff member. Even though we used the shared transfer service, we ended up having the entire van to ourselves. Our driver was extremely friendly and took the time to point out interesting sites, and gave us tips as we drove to the hotel.
When we got to Oia, one of the hotel’s staff was waiting for us at the edge of town, ready to welcome us. If you’ve never been to Oia before, the cliffside town is made up of pedestrian streets. The main roads and parking lots are only found on the city’s edge.
Therefore, we were very grateful to the hotel for helping us with our luggage. Although it was a short walk from our dropoff location to the hotel, the cobblestone lanes and steep steps down to our room were made much easier with some help.
The hotel concierge was extremely friendly and took the time to explain all the amenities they offered and give restaurant recommendation and a list and must-see attractions in Santorini. She also arranged a car rental for us to use for the duration of our trip.
From there, we were escorted to our room, where our luggage awaited and a complimentary bottle of champagne was waiting for us.
Available Suites
The boutique hotel offers seven luxury suites, each built with the Cycladic architectural design people have come to love about Oia. Every suite is designed for optimal views of the water below and is decorated with modern amenities and luxurious items.
Each suite is named after Greek herbs found throughout the Cycladic islands and has its own unique features. Here’s a look at the seven different rooms available for guests.
Valeriana | Our Suite
Size: 32 M²
Guests: 3 guests
We stayed in the beautiful Valeriana suite on the hotel’s upper level. We loved the spacious room and the views of the water from all angles. One of the selling points for us was the large terrace with sunbeds and a seating area which we spent much of our time using.
Since it is located on the hotel’s top level, you have the best views of the surrounding Oia buildings. Best of all, the hotel’s plunge pool was right below our terrace.
The Valeriana suite has a queen bed, sofa bed, indoor seating area, and kitchenette. You also have all the luxury amenities, including room service, 24-hour reception, towels, bathrobes, and a minibar.
The suite also comes with a large satellite tv and free WiFi, which, to be honest, we didn’t even use. Most of our time was spent enjoying the unforgettable views!
We chose the Valeriana suite because it gave us access to one of the most sizeable outdoor terraces. The terrace for this particular suite and the neighboring Mantzourana suite is semi-private. The two suites had their own seating area, separated by tall privacy plants.
Even though we did not have a private plunge pool, we were steps away from the hotel’s pool, which, to be honest, was almost completely unoccupied when we used it.
Mantzourana | Large Terrace
Size: 28M²
Guests: 3 Guests
The Manzourana suite is next to the Valeriana suite and is almost identical. It, too, is on the top level of the hotel and comes with a terrace and sunbeds. The main difference between the Mantzourna and Valeriana suites is that it does not have a dining table. However, the room has an additional window with views of the Oia cliffs. You can even see one of Santorini’s famous blue domes from the window.
Louisa | Private Terrace
Size: 40M²
Guests: 2 Guests
The Louisa suite is bigger than the first two, with a king-size bed and a larger bathroom. It has an indoor seating area and dining table but no sofa bed. One highlight of this suite is that the terrace is completely private. It is furnished with sunbeds and an umbrella and has perfect views of the Aegean Sea below.
The cave suite has a cute little built-in alcove under one of the room’s windows. It is the perfect place to sit with your morning coffee while peering out at the turquoise water. Another great part of this room is it is just a few steps from the shared infinity pool. For ultimate privacy, the Louisa is a great choice.
Ligaria | Fireplace
Size: 29M²
Guests: 2 Guests
The Ligaria is yet another spectacular option. The room is conveniently located near the hotel’s Mastiha Bar and infinity pool and comes with a private terrace. The spacious room, cozy fireplace, and large outdoor terrace make it perfect for a romantic experience. In addition, this particular suite is located on one of the middle levels of the hotel, giving you closer views of the water.
Althaea | Jacuzzi
Size: 35M²
Guests: 2 Guests
The Althaea is one of the most luxurious suites that Pezoules of Oia offers. The private outdoor jacuzzi and large sun terrace make it the ultimate romantic accommodation. We were close to booking this suite, but the price point was a little high for us. However, if the price is not a problem, then I 100% encourage you to book the Althaea.
In addition to the outdoor jacuzzi, which would be enough for most people, the suite has some other lovely facilities. You also have a large walk-in closet, a king-sized bed, and one of the most magical bathrooms. Imagine getting ready each morning while peering out the window at the deep-blue water.
Since the Althaea suite is located on one of the hotel’s lower levels, you also have an extreme amount of privacy. Large terrace, private jacuzzi, and close infinite pool access. What else could you need?
Mentha | Jacuzzi
Size: 30M²
Guests: 2 Guests
The Mentha is very similar to the Althaea suite. It, too, comes with a private terrace and jacuzzi. In addition, the room has a large bathroom, a spacious walk-in shower, and a romantic outdoor space. Of course, just like the Althaea, you will pay more for having a private hot tub. But if you plan to spend a lot of time relaxing at your cave suite, it is worth the expense!
From a homemade breakfast on the terrace to a romantic glass of wine in the jacuzzi at night, the Mentha is another lovely and romantic suite with all the amenities you could need.
Levanta | Close to Water
Size: 26M²
Guests: 2 Guests
The Levanta suite is perfect for those wanting to be closer to the water. The room has a large king-size bed, a walk-in closet, and an outdoor terrace. It is also another suite that comes with a private jacuzzi.
Due to its location lower down on the cliffside, the Levanta is the most private of suites. The room also has a large bathroom, a walk-in shower, and a unique two-tier terrace. The main terrace features an outdoor seating area and lounge chairs.
You will climb a few steps to the secluded hot tub built into the cliffside. Enjoy a glass of wine in the hot tub as you savor the sunset views of the Caldera all to yourself. It doesn’t get much more romantic than that!
Complimentary Breakfast
One of the best parts of staying at Pezoules of Oia is the delicious daily breakfast served to you each morning on your terrace. Call the concierge from your room when you’re ready, and they will promptly deliver your lavish breakfast to you.
Our service was impeccable. A staff member delivered a wonderful assortment of pastries, bread, and breakfast items and set everything up for us. He even took the time to set up our terrace umbrella and go through the series of homemade dishes with us.
Amenities and Experiences
Infinity Pool
Although some suites have a jacuzzi, the hotel also has an infinity pool for all guests. The pool is located in front of the hotel’s bar, where you can order refreshing cocktails while enjoying unobscured views of the Caldera. The Mastiha Pool Bar is built into the cave and has a variety of cocktails, local wines, and beers.
One of the best parts about the pool was that it was pretty much private the entire time we stayed at the hotel. With only seven suites, we truly felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. In addition, the pool and lounge area are open all day and night for guests.
Spa Services
Pezoules of Oia offers facials and massage services that are done in-house. Appointments are scheduled daily between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm for guests. Services range anywhere from facial treatments to full-body massages. Contact the hotel for their services brochure for more information on what they offer.
Transfers
Pezoules of Oia conveniently offers transfer services to and from the airport or port in Santorini. To request these services, contact the property in advance. A shared transfer costs €40, and a private is €60. They will not only pick you up, but will arrange for a staff member to help you with your luggage.
Conclusion
We really enjoyed our stay at the Pezoules of Oia. It was the perfect place for a romantic getaway, offering everything we were looking for. If you are planning your trip to Santorini, I hope this detailed review has inspired you to book your stay here.
