Storybook Hotels: 15 Magical Places to Stay in the Loire Valley.

Last updated on January 16th, 2023

The main reason thousands of people visit the Loire Valley each year is to visit the local vineyards and explore hundreds of beautiful châteaux in the area. Although many of the castles are historical landmarks, some have been converted into boutique-hotels for you to enjoy.

These hotels are the perfect addition to your trip to the Loire Valley. Whether you are a solo traveler, family, or looking for a romantic getaway, there are many magical places to stay in the Loire Valley.

The one thing you want to consider when booking a hotel is its location to the places you want to visit. The majority of the châteaux were built close to the Loire River and span the length of the region.

However, many of the well-known châteaux are around the city of Tours. I have handpicked 15 magical places to stay in the Loire Valley based on their proximity to the best sites and their overall quality.

The following hotels are organized by their proximity to the cities of Tours, Bloise, and Amboise. If you are planning to stay in the Loire Valley, make sure to rent a car!
